Auto-Renewal & Recurring Payments

What is auto-renewal?
When you purchase a PosterBanao™ subscription plan, you may choose to turn on auto-renewal. This is entirely optional and off by default — you must explicitly enable it at checkout. If enabled, your plan renews automatically at the end of its billing period so you never lose access, without needing to make a manual payment each time.
How registration works
Auto-renewal is set up through our payment partner, Razorpay, using either a saved card or a UPI Autopay mandate. The same payment you make at checkout also registers this mandate — there is no separate signup step. Registering a mandate requires your bank's or UPI app's own authentication (e.g. an OTP or in-app approval); we never store your full card number or UPI PIN.
Pre-debit notice
We notify you at least 24 hours before every auto-renewal charge, as required by RBI's e-mandate framework, telling you the plan and amount that will be charged.
Charge amount
You are only ever charged the exact price of your current plan at the time of renewal — never more than what your registered mandate authorizes.
Your rights — cancel or skip anytime
In line with RBI's Digital Payments – E-Mandate Framework, you can manage your auto-renewal at any time, directly from the app, with no need to contact support:
- Skip the next renewal — turns off auto-charging for your upcoming billing cycle only. Your saved mandate stays active for future use.
- Cancel auto-renewal entirely — permanently revokes your saved card/UPI mandate, both with us and with Razorpay. Your current plan keeps running until it naturally expires; you would just need to renew manually after that.
Both options are available under My Subscriptions → Manage Auto-Renewal in the PosterBanao app. You can also cancel a UPI Autopay mandate directly from your own UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, etc.) at any time — it will take effect on our side automatically.
Failed charges
If a renewal charge fails, we retry a limited number of times over the following week. Your current plan is never interrupted mid-cycle because of a failed renewal attempt — it simply won't extend further once it expires, and you'll fall back to our normal manual-renewal reminders.
